Flowers on friday #6.......4/23
This week you will just need a 1 inch piece of paper....I prefer to use pattern paper, but you do not have to.
Cut your paper in to two 1/2 inch strips..then cut those to 3 inches long.
Like so....
You will have 8 strips. Fold each of these in half lengthwise......
...if you are using very thin paper you may wish to adhere your paper strips, but I did not.
Now you are going to fold your strips in half again...but do not crease...you are going for a petal like shape... and adhere your ends together.
I use liquid adhesive for these.
So I do not have to hold each one until it dries I put them in a mini chip clip... I have a ton of these in my scrap area..they really come in handy for holding things.....like a third hand.
While they are drying, cut a small circle out of scrap paper...to adhere all your petals to.
Cover this entire circle with adhesive( again I like a liquid adhesive for this step)
and begin placing your petals.
Do not worry to much about your petal shapes at this point...you can adjust that after the entire thing dries.
After it completely dries...you can adjust your petals to the shape you desire and use what you like to embellish your center. I chose to use a button as my center.
Here is my completed flower.
and here it is on my layout......
Hope you enjoy this weeks flower. Remember....I have some points to play with so if you get a chance to give it a try and use it on a project...post back here by Thursday night at midnight...and on Friday I will draw for some random participation points.

That is so cute... love it! This is the first time I've looked at the Flowers on Friday. I need to go back and look at all the rest. Having two boys, I really don't have alot of opportunity to use flowers on my layouts, but they'd be great for greeting cards!

This is way cool - TFS! I've bookmarked it for future reference.
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.

Thanks for the tutorial!!Kimandasmo wrote:Terrific job Rachel--- love that layout!
This one was super easy - and took almost no paper at all. I have 1 inch strips of paper laying around all the time. The hardest part was the patience, waiting for my glue to dry.
