Melissa's NSD 2023 Comfort Zone Challenge***WINNER***

Post by lissahope26 »

Congrats Oceanbreezes423!

Hello Cherries!  Can you believe an hour has flown by already?

For the 3rd and final challenge of my slot, I challenge you to go to our fabulous gallery here and pick a layout that is way out of your comfort zone.  It is a style that you would not normally use.  Your challenge is to lift that layout.  You must share your layout and the one you lifted in this thread.

I normally do not scrap with a grid design.  I lifted Mathandlit's wonderful page here:
Image
And here is my take on it:

So find a layout that is out of what you would normally do and scraplift it!

Rules and prizes:
1 entry per Cherry
Post your layout here in this thread.
Can not combine with any other NSD Challenge or MB Challenge...EXCEPT for the 25 Item Challenge.
Due Monday May 15th by midnight. EST

1 winner be chosen by random.org will receive this fabulous Graphic 45 pack:

This is such a fantastic challenge.  I scrap pretty simply but save lots of "out of my comfort zone" projects to lift.

I seem to always fight (and lose) the urge to splatter all over any white space… lol

I normally use pp for my LO backgrounds, but love how Leslie created this background mat.  I really want to try this.

Here is my chosen page from my "Favorites". It is by Sharman Paulus. I am so impressed with "layers" and wish I could master that style. Sharman sure does!

You can see why this technique of layering is out of my comfort zone. My attempt of Sharman's layering:

Great layouts so far!  I have points left over so I will award points to a 2nd and 3rd random draw as well.

I don't think I'm going to get to this until after the 15th -- I have so many layouts lined up, and I think this one might take me a while to figure out.  I bought the stencil that Karyn Sue used but its use is way out of my comfort zone!  Fun challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing all the projects.

I never know what to do with the 12 x 12 pages with a circle pattern, I always avoid them, but I lifted this and am very happy with it! Here is mine:

and here is the one I lifted by SandyJay:

PM me if you need the instructions on how to use the stencil to create this layout :-)

I can do white space until about the very end… then I just take everything off and splatter it with ink 🙈
