Great challenge!  Normally I would be all in to stamp a background, but decided to try using my stencils more.  Made this for one of our friends that we are spoiling until her high school graduation.  This card will go in a container for "Senior Sunrise" goodies we are surprising her with.

Thank you for being a hostess!

Hello, I made my own background by using ink, gesso, black paint  splatters and old 7 gypsies rub ons that did work that well , hence the crooked stitches!

I misted my entire card and then I stamped a piece of cardstock for the bottom of the card.

I used a stencil from the dollar section at Target and a few different inks to create my background paper:

This was so fun!!! I will do this again, thanks for the inspiration!

I lifted Vicki Boutin for this page but I didn’t have a similar vintage looking piece and I admired hers. So I made it! I used the two washis shown and added them mostly to the right side of my page. But I put some on the left to tie them together as well.

These are the (super old!) tapes I used:Image

I used four little star stamps and four colors of ink to stamp the background, then stitched. Unfortunately did not realize the blue ink was not completely dry and some smeared, but not too bad.

LOVED this challenge. For this one I used blue paint and bubble wrap to make the background paper then used two pieces of patterned paper.  Thanks for another great mixed media challenge  😊
